J POWELL desires most respectfully to thank his numerous friends for their kind support he has

been favoured with since commencing business at 50 MAREFAIR, and wishes to state that he has

removed to those large and extensive premises situated exactly opposite ST PETER’S CHURCH,

where he has built large Portrait and Enlarging Studios on the latest principle, having an

unobstructed north light for the purpose of Instantaneous Portraiture of a soft and brilliant character.

THE SITTER.

By a novel arrangement of the latest invention, the Sitter is not aware of the exact time the portrait

is being produced, thus dispensing with the head-rest, and obtaining a more easy pose and natural

expression, and will be found a great boon to invalids and those with delicate sight.

THE WEATHER.

With the special process at his disposal it is not necessary for very bright weather. There is an

abundance of light in the studio.

CHILDREN.

The portraiture of Children is a special study, and every attention is given to their comfort.

COPYING.

Great care is given to Copying old Glass Pictures, Miniatures, Cartes de Visite, &c. They can be

Enlarged and Painted, when not only a good likeness, but a work of artistic merit, is secured.

OUT-DOOR PHOTOGRAPHY.

Arrangements can be made to Photograph Family Groups, Wedding Parties, Cricket and Football

Clubs, Workmen’s Groups, Lawn Tennis Parties, Horses, Dogs, Cattle, Private Residences, Grave

Stones, &c. Appointments are desirable.

Prices moderate. First-class work guaranteed.
